THING #15

I tried puzzle pirates and tried a bilging game. Actually felt like there was not much interaction with other sailors. Is second life the game where people actually like it better than their real life! Would need a lot more time to learn the ropes for these online games.

Second Life is very hard to navigate, I think. I've been in there for a couple library conferences and then just to look around a bit, and I find it very hard to get around in. Of course you can fly and teleport, but beyond that, moving around is hard. I bet it will get better with time.

But, yes, some people tend to spend a lot of their time there. What's interesting about it is that people have made millions of dollars in Second Life by having stores there and selling things like clothing. Virtual clothing, of course, but you pay them a little bit for the code to make your avatar more interesting and they make money. There are other ways they make money, too, like building a whole building for you in Second Life, etc. It's just crazy! If I knew how to do all that, then maybe I'd be in Second Life more, too, but for now, it's not for me either.
